**Old Friends**

I had another surprise visitor today but this time it was at work. A good friend of mine, Renae Rowe, stopped by my office and we visited for about 30 minutes this afternoon. We worked together at SHSU and it was so nice seeing her again. It is good to see old friends and good hearing from them too. A couple weeks ago I got several emails from friends at SAM and they told me how much they miss me! Of course it always makes you feel good to know you are missed......it feels as though you may have made a difference. Remember the scene in the movie Forrest Gump where Jenny comes back to GREENBOW, ALABAMA and sleeps for days (after months and months of drugs and loose living?) Of course she DOES wake up long enough to.....ahhh.....well.......you know........! :\ Anyway, after Jenny leaves, AGAIN, there is a scene where Forrest is standing right inside her bedroom door with a glass of milk, just staring at the bed where she had slept! He looks SOOO SAD! Anyway, I told all my SHSU co-workers, after I was gone that, periodically, I wanted them to get a glass of milk and stand right inside my office door and sadly stare at my empty desk, just like Forrest did! Some of them said they would definitely do it! HA!

It is so important to live out your testimony to the best of your ability. Whether you believe it or not, the "world" is watching us as Christians. They look for our mistakes and are quick to point them out. OH, if they could only comprehend MERCY and GRACE! Let's continue to pray for the lost, that they would come to salvation through our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. God bless y'all!
